The photos convey the shimmering irridescent luster characteristic of coin pearls. These black freshwater pearls are color-enhanced by a radiation process (Note: All black/black freshwater pearls are color enhanced . As opposed to Tahitian black sea pearls, for example.) These pearls were individually selected and matched as earrings from strands of loose pearls (same pearls used for necklace - see below), so there is a small transverse hole drilled in each pearl, hardly visible when worn as earrings.)
