| 18" strand of black/black cultured matched freshwater pearls hand carried from China. Pearls are round to near round, black , 4.5 - 5.0 mm in size, graduated very slightly from clasp to center. Pearls individually double-knotted on a nylon strand. These black pearls are color-enhanced by a radiation process (All black/black freshwater pearls are color enhanced ... As opposed to Tahitian black sea pearls, for example.) The strand is attached to the clasp with a "French twist" - a coiled 14k wire which is stylish and improves on wear and tear. The clasp is a 14k gold ovoid filigree style with safety catch (see closeup of clasp). The necklace is packaged in an attractive embroidered silk purse.
